What is Flash?

Flash is a friendly payments app that’s here to make your life easier. It enables you to instantly and easily pay for anything, anywhere at any time. All you have to do is add your card(s) to your Flash account and then pay a business or a friend digitally, or via a QR code. Your payment becomes instant with just a few taps.

Why should I use Flash?

We’re approved by the Central Bank of Egypt and powered by Banque Misr, so you know we’re a safe, speedy and simple way to make payments. We’re here to save your time and energy spent on burdensome and menial tasks so that you can better invest in yourself and your day. Time flies by in a flash but we own it. We understand that bills are no one’s favorite part of the month but they are inevitable. Just a few steps at your fingertips and you will be able to pay your bills in a Flash. Electricity, phone and internet bills. All that and more! No more standing in queues to pay your dues. Picture this, you’ve just ordered your favorite item online and the doorbell rings. No cash? No problem. We partner with merchants and provide them with QR codes that you scan and pay via your phone. Not home? No problem x2. Have someone take the product and get the QR code sent to you and follow the same steps to pay. It’s that easy.

Which devices work with Flash?

All phones running the following operating systems having either Face ID or a fingerprint reader.
Android Operating system:
Minimum Version: Android 6.0 // Marshmallow up to: Android 12 // Snow Cone.
iPhone Operating system:
Minimum Version: iOS 11.

Is there a monthly or annual contract or subscription that I have to sign up for?

No monthly or annual subscription required to use FlashApp.

What is scan & pay?

Scan & pay or as we like to call it “Flash on delivery” basically replaces card machines with QR codes and bank cards with mobile phones. It allows you to receive your online order and make sure it’s exactly what you ordered before paying anything. It also solves the problem of not having enough cash on hand to pay for your order. We partner with merchants and provide them with QR codes that you scan and pay via your phone. Most importantly, you only add your card once on the app and use it to pay each time via Flash.

Which businesses can I use “scan & pay” with?

We’ll be adding our merchants soon.

Getting Started
I am not getting an OTP or verification code. What should I do?

Make sure you have a good network connection and click on the resend button to receive another code. Please note that if you request the code more than 5 times the account will be temporarily blocked and you will need to wait for another hour before we can send you another code.

Once I made my payment online, can I cancel it?

There are 2 steps while making payments:
Step 1 is when you choose the card you want to pay with.
Step 2 is when the device verifies your identity through FaceID or fingerprint to confirm the account owner is the you.
Only time you can cancel a payment is during step 1. Unfortunately, once you move to step 2 and the payment will be confirmed and you won't be able to cancel it.

What are the costs for paying online?

Costs will differ from one service to another depending on the bill amount. Before making any payment, the cost will be clearly distributed for you to check it out. It’ll be reflected under “service fees”. Cost distribution will be also available in the payment details/receipt after you make a successful payment to keep track of your transactions.

What are the costs for paying with scan & pay?

There are no costs charged to use scan & pay. There are no costs charged for scan & pay transactions. No costs charged to use scan & pay.

How should I enter my debit/credit card information?

There are two ways to add your card to Flash.
1- Through Account → My cards.
2- After choosing the service you want to pay it will take you to a page to add your card if you have no cards saved.

How will I know that my payment has been accepted?

You will receive a message that your payment was successful. You can also check your recent payments on the home screen to check if your payment was successful or not.

What cards can I use to pay my bill(s)?

Debit Cards for national or international banks.
Credit Cards national or international banks.
Meeza Cards

How do payments show up on my credit card statement?

It will appear as “Flash” and in some cases followed by the “Business Name”. For example, “Flash Rabbit”

Will I be able to print a copy of my bill?

Yes, you can download a PDF copy of all invoices and print it

How do I change my account information?

Go to “My account” on the homescreen and click on the edit icon to change your information.

Safety & Security
Which bank do you use to process my payments?

Flash payments are securely processed by Banque Misr.

Is my data secure?

We’re approved by the Central Bank of Egypt and powered by Banque Misr, all data is encrypted and card information is saved with PCI compliance, so you know we’re a safe, speedy and simple way to make payments.

Can anyone see my payment details?

You’re the only person who has access to your payment information, which is protected with either your Fingerprint or FaceID.

Do you save my Card information?

Your card information is not saved on Flash’s database; however, it is saved through a certified and secure network to ensure data protection.

Can I delete my card information?

Yes, go to “Account” on your home screen, click on “My cards” and you’ll be able to delete any of your saved cards.

Can I change  bank cards anytime?

Yes through “My account” in the home screen you can change your card at any time.

How long is my history record?

Flash saves all your previous transactions under “All Transactions'' in your account info for you to keep track of your transaction history without removing any of them at any point in time.

How can I delete my Flash account?

You can contact our customer support team through the app or the link below from the mobile number your Flash account is associated with. Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will delete your account from our end and erase any payments-related data, profile information or any other identification parameters. The only data we keep is the the date at which the account was deleted. You will receive a confirmation of account deletion within 24 hrs of requesting it.
